Akash Dania received his Ph.D. in Business Administration - Finance, and Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas-Pan American (now the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley) and is currently serving as the Chair of Faculty Senate and Professor of Finance at Delaware State University. Previously he served as the Director of Graduate Business Programs, and Associate Professor of Finance at Alcorn State University. He has developed and taught finance and quantitative analysis discipline courses such as Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis and Management, Investments, Real Estate Finance, Bank Management, Financial Institutions, Managerial Economics Analysis, Operations Management, and Quantitative Analysis.
Dr. Akash's area of research includes Risk Management and Investing in Emerging Markets, Real Estate Finance, Socially and Faith based investing, and in understanding Economics of Political Uncertainty. He has published over 20 refereed publications in journals such as the Journal of Wealth Management (among top finance practitioner journal), Journal of Asset Management, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, and Journal of Economics and Finance. He also has over 50 research papers presented at numerous conferences, including the Financial Management Association (FMA), Eastern Finance Association (EFA), Academy of International Business (AIB), and the Academy of Economics and Finance (AEF). In addition, his work on Faith Based Mutual Funds was awarded the Irwin/McGraw-Hill Outstanding Paper Award at the 2013 Federation of Business Disciplines Conference.

This book is a start-to-finish guide to investigating the impact of international terrorism on commodity markets and if a diversified commodity portfolio provides investors with diversification benefits in such extreme politically uncertain environment.
